Write and change your answers

Your answers teach Bountful things your store’s pages don’t say, such as whether you gift wrap. Bountful answers in its own words, but treats your answer as the truth. It uses your answers before your store’s pages.

Where: Knowledge → What Bountful knows

Add an answer

  1. 1Go to Knowledge, and click See what Bountful knows.
  2. 2Click Add an answer.
  3. 3Under Question, write the question the way a shopper would ask it.
  4. 4Under Your answer, write the answer.
  5. 5Click Save in the bar at the top.

A question can be up to 300 characters, and an answer up to 2,000. Bountful can usually use a new answer right away. At the latest, it’s used within about 15 minutes.

If it repeats or disagrees

When you save, Bountful checks the new answer against your others. If you already have one like it, or the two disagree, it tells you before saving. You can Save anyway, or Edit that one instead.

If you match prices

When a shopper says another store sells it for less, Bountful gives your price and keeps helping. It doesn’t pass the request on to you, and it doesn’t offer that shopper a discount code in that chat. If you match prices, add an answer that says so, and Bountful follows it.

Change or delete an answer

Click an answer in the list to open it. Change it and save, or click Delete.

An answer may show a note asking if it’s still right. For example, it hasn’t been used for 60 days, or it names a year.
