The two setup steps on Home

When you first open Bountful, Home shows Get started. It has two steps. The line at the top says how many you’ve done.

Where: Home → Get started

While Bountful reads your store for the first time, a note under that line says how many products it has read so far. On a big store this can take a few minutes. You can do the steps meanwhile.

Step 1: Turn on Bountful in your theme

This puts the chat on your store. Click Open theme editor, then click Save in the theme editor. The step ticks itself once you save.

Shoppers still can’t see Bountful after this step. Only you can.

Step 2: Bountful is free to test

This step tells you what testing costs: nothing. You can test for as long as you like. To make Bountful public, you pick a plan. Your first plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and you pay nothing until it ends.

Click Show me what it can do to finish the step. Until step 1 is done, this step says Finish step 1 first.

After the two steps

Home becomes Discover: a list of what Bountful can do, with buttons to try it on your store.

Home changes again once you’re on a plan, or once you’ve marked every item in Discover done. Then it shows your numbers for the last 30 days, and what needs you today.

Making Bountful public isn’t one of the setup steps. You do it when you’re ready.
