Install Bountful and turn it on in your theme
Install Bountful from the Shopify App Store. Then turn it on in your theme. Until you do, the chat isn’t on your store, not even for you.

Turn it on
- 1Open Bountful. Home shows Get started, with two steps.
- 2In the first step, Turn on Bountful in your theme, click Open theme editor. Your theme editor opens in a new tab.
- 3Under App embeds, check that Bountful is switched on.
- 4Click Save in the top bar.
Go back to Bountful. The step ticks itself once you save.
Turning it on is safe. After this, only you can see Bountful on your store. Shoppers see nothing until you make it public.
Good to know
- Bountful needs to be on in your published theme. If you publish a different theme, turn it on there too.
- If it gets switched off in your theme later, Home shows a banner: Bountful is switched off in your theme. Its button opens the theme editor again.
