Shoppers who asked for a person

When a shopper asks for a person, or Bountful can’t help them, Bountful takes their email and their question. The request waits for you in Shoppers → Requests.

Where: Shoppers → Requests

Find the requests

Go to Shoppers. Requests opens first, with an Open and a Done tab.

  • Asked for a person: shoppers who want a person to reply. It also lists shoppers who asked your store to follow up on something, with a note of what. And it lists orders whose tax changed when a shopper changed the address, with the tax before and after.
  • Waiting for an email: shoppers who left an email for their picks, or to hear when a sold-out product is back.

You also get an email for each request for a person. It holds the shopper’s email, what they need, and the last messages of the chat. It goes to the address in Settings → When to fetch you.

What the labels mean

A row’s label says where the request stands.

  • Waiting: the shopper asked for a person and waits for your reply.
  • Needs you: the shopper waits for an email. Write to them yourself.
  • Bought: the shopper already checked out, so there’s nothing to send.
  • Done: you marked the request done. You find it on the Done tab.
  • Test: you made the request in your own test chat. It shows next to one of the other labels, and the request’s conversation says it was your test chat.

Reply, then mark it done

Bountful doesn’t email shoppers itself. A request stays open until you mark it done, in both lists.

  1. 1Click the shopper to open their page, then open the request.
  2. 2Write to the shopper from your own email. Answer their question, send their picks, or tell them the product is back. Replying to Bountful’s email doesn’t reach them.
  3. 3On the request, click Mark as done.

The request moves to the Done tab. If you marked it by mistake, click Change back to not done.
