Order status in the chat

Shoppers can ask Bountful about an order they placed. Bountful shows them where it is.

Where: Settings → Agent → Orders

What the shopper sees

  • the order number and the date it was placed
  • whether it has shipped, and whether it’s paid. If it was cancelled, or has nothing left to ship, Bountful says so.
  • the tracking number and link, when there is one
  • the items, and the order total

Bountful doesn’t promise a shipping or tracking email. It doesn’t know what your store sends.

Who can see an order

  • A shopper signed in to their account sees their own orders, with nothing to type.
  • A shopper who isn’t signed in gives the order number and the email used at checkout. Both must match the order.
  • An order placed while signed in to an account needs the shopper to sign in first.
  • If a shopper says the order is someone else’s, like a partner’s, Bountful doesn’t look it up. It tells them the person who placed it can check it from their order email or account.

If the details don’t match, Bountful doesn’t say whether the order exists.

Turn it on or off

It’s on to start with. To turn it off, go to Settings → Agent → Orders, and turn off Let shoppers look up their orders. Order questions then come to you instead.
