How Bountful recommends products
A shopper says what they need, and Bountful suggests products from your store. It shows them as cards in the chat, with the best match first.
What a card shows
- The product’s picture, title and price, in the shopper’s currency.
- A sale price, when the product has a higher “compare at” price.
- A choice of options, such as size or color, when the product has them.
- An Add to cart button, and a link to the product page.
When Bountful shows two or more products, the shopper can compare them side by side.
Which products it suggests
Bountful suggests products that are published on your online store and in stock. It leaves out:
- products you turned off in Knowledge → Products
- products below the stock limit you set
- products that are sold out
A shopper who asks about one of these by name still gets its details. A sold-out product shows Sold out on its card.
When a shopper asks by price or for what’s on sale
A shopper can give a budget, such as “a gift under $50”. Bountful then looks through your store’s products for ones in that price range. It goes by the prices the shopper sees, in their own currency.
A shopper can also ask what’s on sale. Bountful shows products that have a higher “compare at” price. This is the sale price you set on the product. It is not a discount code.
Bountful goes by the prices in the shopper’s country. If your store shows no “compare at” price there, Bountful finds nothing on sale for that shopper.
The same products are left out here: ones you turned off, ones below your stock limit, and sold-out ones.
Help it pick the right product
Put your products into groups by what they’re for, such as “for beginners” or “for cold weather”. Bountful uses the groups to match a product to what the shopper describes.
