Change the welcome message and quick questions
The welcome screen is what a shopper sees when they open the chat, before they type. Go to Settings → Welcome screen. The preview under the card shows that screen as you change it.
Welcome message
The first line in the chat. Pick one from the list, or pick Custom — write your own and type yours.
Add {first_name} to greet a shopper by name. Shoppers signed in to their account see their own first name. Everyone else sees the message without it.
Line underneath
A short line that tells shoppers what they can do here. Clear it to show nothing.
Quick questions
Buttons shoppers can tap instead of typing. Tapping one sends it as if the shopper typed it. You can pick up to 6.
- Tick any of the ready-made questions, such as “What’s your bestseller?”
- To add your own, type it under Add your own, then click Add.
- To remove one, untick it, or click the × on your own question.
There are none to start with.
The quiz
Once you publish a quiz, a quiz card shows on the welcome screen too. You edit it in Settings → Quiz.
Click Save when you’re done. The welcome screen goes away once the chat starts.
